Daniel Webster 1847 Autographed Presentation Speech
Daniel Webster presented Professor Tayler Lewis, New York 1802-1877 this inscribed and signed, engraved portrait on the frontise of this 1847 publication of Webster's remarks at a dinner in Webster's honor given by the merchants and citizens of Philadelphia. The inscription reads " For Professor Lewis; as evidence of a high sense of the ability and value of his writings. Daniel Webster ". Tayler Lewis was a well known classical scholar who taught and published widely and was oft quoted by Webster. Hand written notation taht this pamphlet was bound in Schenectedy December 9, 1852. Marbled end papers, missing back cover.

Rare 1864 Invoice from Alexander Roux to G. Jewett
This vary rare billhead/invoice from July 1864 itemizes the various pieces of fine furniture ordered by a one G. Jewett of Staten Island from famed New York French cabinetmaker, Alexander Roux of New York City. Included on the bill are notations for a bedstead, several bureaus, center table and other furniture. Bottom of bill bears the manuscript signature A Roux. 8 1/2 by 7 inches framed.

Collection of late 19th C Odd Fellows Costumes
This is just one of an amazing collection of Odd Fellows ceremonial robes from Middletown, CT. c 1890-1910. Each one is different. Each with bright colors and wonderful details and design. Red, blue, purple, black and more.
Some are floor length and some are tunic length. There are 20 in all but we would consider selling them in smaller groups as well. If interested, please contact us and we can send photos of the others. Great for a small theatre group or costume parties. Most are a men's medium but several are larger. Prices vary.
