ALPS Toy S-55 Westland Sikorsky Helicopter
This helicopter was made by ALPS TOYS, a japanese toy company in1951. It is a replica of the S-55 Sikorsky helicopter that the British government licensed in 1951 to make under the Westland name. How this British/ Japanese toy ended up in the Hudson Valley of NY is anyone's guess. It measures 14 long and 5 inches high.

19th C Saratoga (NY) Souvenir Mugs with Names
Someone went to Saratoga in the 1880s and brought back an engraved mug for the women in his life. These hand-etched leaded glass mugs are etched Saratoga and the date on the front and a name on the back. The first is Saratoga 1880, Grandma; then Saratoga 1882, Cora; and finally Saratoga 1886, Mary. We're guessing grandmother , wife and daughter. What do you think?
